The beautiful village of Taylor is the Loup County seat.

A shady city park forms its center with huge trees, playground equipment, gazebo, covered picnic tables and public restroom. High school students and teachers have made national news with their “anti-tobacco advertising campaign, city improvement and community involvement.

The small “can-do” community maintains a “tourist park” for campers and a historical museum. It has recently opened the 1925 Gasoline station as an information center and is in the process of restoring a three-story Victorian style hotel. Each August, volunteers work together to produce the “Loup County World’s Fair.”
